MFN rate

"Most Favored Nation" — the baseline U.S. duty rate that applies to imports from any country the U.S. has normal trade relations with. Set in the HTS schedule by product, not by country. For rugs and soft furnishings this is typically low single digits. Section 301, Section 232, and Section 122 duties all stack on top of the MFN base rate rather than replacing it.
