Court of International Trade

The federal court with exclusive nationwide jurisdiction over customs and tariff disputes, established under the Customs Courts Act of 1980. Unlike regular Article III district courts, the CIT has unique authority to issue universal orders affecting all importers. The pivotal Atmus Filtration ruling ordering IEEPA refunds came from the CIT.
